GRADUATE STUDENTS

Brittany D’AgostinMSc candidate

Education: BSc.H (University of Guelph)
Research Interests: I am interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms behind the pathology of diseases, and ways to recover lost functions. In particular, I am interested in the role of nerves in wound healing and regeneration, and molecular mechanisms that may regulate activation of cell types involved in wound healing (e.g. fibroblasts)

Kayla Favaro – MSc candidate

Education: Honours BSc (University of Guelph), minor in Psychology
Research Interests: I am interested in utilizing a variety of imaging techniques to study the process of gecko tail regeneration, focusing on neural regeneration, that can be applied to other mammalian systems
Email: kfavaro@uoguelph.ca

Melissa Hardman – MSc Candidate

Education: Honours BSc (University of Guelph)
Email: mhardman@uoguelph.ca

Adam McCarney – MBS Student

Education: BMSc (Western University)
Research Interests: I am interested in cell signalling, intercellular communication, wound healing, and tissue regeneration
Email: amccarne@uoguelph.ca

Alexandra Noble – MSc Candidate

Education: BSc.H (University of Guelph)
Research Interests: Neurogenesis and brain repair

UNDERGRADUATES

Lelia Faouk Al-Aadah – USRA student
Education: Bachelor of Arts and Science (University of Guelph)
Research Interests: I’m passionate about exploring a wide range of scientific topics during my undergrad, with a particular interest in how peripheral nerves influence vascularization and blastema formation during digit tip regeneration.
