Master’s students Maia Hoover and Avika Srivastava have been selected for MSc scholarships! Congratulations to Maia for her OGS scholarship, and Avika for her NSERC-CGS-M. We are very proud of you both!
Maia and Avika also recently attended the Southern Ontario Neuroscience Association conference held in Toronto, where they both presented posters about their work on the neural control of regeneration. Maia is studying how nerves are involved in multi-tissue regeneration using the mouse digit tip amputation model. Avika’s project is looking at the interactions between nerves and keratinocytes (skin cells) in an in vitro model of wound healing.
