Dr. Payne awarded CFI-JELF equipment federal funding

To understand why animals respond differently to injury, Dr. Payne will receive $96,279 to study the role nerves play in regeneration and scarring. We will acquire a multi-purpose imaging system to record cell behaviour with time-lapse microscopy and purchase some much needed essentials for the lab!

Payne Lab presents at TERMIS-AM and GRC

MSc student Solsa Cariba was awarded a TERMIS Travel Award to attend the TERMIS-AM 2022 conference in Toronto, where he presented a poster titled: “Investigating the Neural Control of Fibroblasts During Regeneration Using a Novel Co-culture Device”

Lab receives NSERC Discovery Grant funding

In addition to our SCN funding, we have also received a 5 year NSERC Discovery Grant to study the biophysical modulators of regeneration! We are very excited to be able to use this grant money to progress a number of projects over the next 5 years.
