We celebrated the defense of two MSc students this summer: Avika Srivastava and Maia Hoover. Congratulations to both of you!! You will be greatly missed but we look forward to seeing what you do next!
Dr. Payne and four of the graduate students attended the American Association for Anatomy's annual Anatomy Connected conference in Toronto ON.
Dr. Payne and MSc students Avika Srivastava and Maia Hoover attended Canada's Till & McCulloch stem cell meeting in Toronto to present posters.
To understand why animals respond differently to injury, Dr. Payne will receive $96,279 to study the role nerves play in regeneration and scarring. We will acquire a multi-purpose imaging system to record cell behaviour with time-lapse microscopy and purchase some much needed essentials for the lab!
